Obituaries

Thelma I. Allie
June 5, 1916, to March 19, 2004

AMES -- Thelma I. Allie, 87, of Ames died Friday, March 19, at Rolling Green Village in Nevada.

She was born June 5, 1916 at Nevada, Iowa the daughter of David and Lucy (McKee) Earwicker. She was united in marriage to Arnold Allie January 2, 1935 in Bethany, Mo. Arnold preceded her in death September 29, 1982. She was a homemaker and was affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church in Ames.

She is survived by a son: Larry Allie of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Birdella Kay Rowley of Tiffan, Iowa; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Harley Earwicker of Escondido, CA and a sister, Dorothy Haves [should be Hapes] of Nevada, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Lois Tice; a great-granddaughter; 4 brothers: Charley Earwicker, Harold Earwicker, Vern Earwicker, Donald Earwicker, and 4 sisters: Lois in infancy, Gladys Torgeson, Anna Marie Earwicker and Ardell Hidelbaugh.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am Tuesday at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada with Rev. David Staff officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.

Visitation will be a the Bacon Home in Nevada Monday, 6:30 pm-8:00 pm.

Bacon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
