Services Held Saturday For Mrs. D. O. Nickeson*

Funeral services for Mrs. Clarissa M. Nickeson of Nevada, were held from the Ryan Funeral Home Saturday at 2 p. m. with Elder Charles Lehman, assisted by Elder Doyle Bethel, officiating.

Two songs "Old Rugged Cross" and "In the Garden" were sung by Mrs. Virginia Brouhard accompanied by Miss Beeula Settle.

The casket bearers were Earl Corbin, George Corbin, Frank Corbin, Glen Eyanson, Henry Hopper and Louie Martin.

Burial was in the Nevada cemetery.

Obituary

Clarissa May Nickeson was born Dec. 15, 1873, at Craig, Neb., a daughter of Jess and Princess Frink. She had been a resident of Story county for 60 years.

Her death occurred Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Story County Hospital where she had been a patient for three months. She had been in failing health for two years. She was a member of the Latter Day Saints church.

She was married in Nebraska City, Neb., Dec. 31, 1889 to Dan Nickeson who preceded her in death Jan. 6, 1954. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter and one son.

Surviving are four sons and three daughters. The sons are R. E. Nickeson of Elmira, Ore., Daniel and Joseph of Casper, Wyo., and Byron B. Nickeson of Denver, Colo.; the daughters are Mrs. Ella Weber of West Hope, N. D.; Mrs. Lloyd Corbin of Ames and Mrs. Inda Bales of Nevada, also by grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Carrie Powell of Des Moines.
