LYDIA CAMPBELL
COLLINS--Funeral services for Lydia Campbell were held at the Collins Christian Church Thursday afternoon with the Rev. Ellis Martin officiating. Mrs. Hugh Fertig was the pianist and accompanied Mrs. Max Dodd who sang "In the Garden" and "God's Tomorrow."
Casket bearers were Ivan Mullihan, Floyd Oswalt, Harvey Westcott, Harry McElwee, Raymond Long, Flavius Pritchard and Floyd Kelderhouse. Flowers were cared for by Mrs. Ivan Mullihan and Mrs. Norman Partridge. Brouhard Funeral service of Zearing was in charge with interment in the Collins Evergreen cemetery.
Life Sketch
Lydia Campbell, daughter of Charles Lewis and Lydia James Todhunter, was born January 5, 1874 in Warren County, Iowa and died in Collins at the McVey Nursing home February 4th, 1958 at the age of 84 years and one month old. She lived most of her life in Iowa and for many years in and around Collins.
On October 20, 1895 she was united in marriage with Frank Campbell who died in March 1955. She was a active member of the Christian church and continued her interest as long as her health permitted. Mrs. Campbell was a member of a ---------- ------ Happy Birthday -------.
Surviving are two sisters and two brothers namely Henry Todhunter of ------, Stephen of P-----ville, ----, Mrs. Wyatt McWherter of Franklin, New York and Mrs. Clara Brigg of Costa -----, Washington, ------- nieces and nephews.
