MRS. ELIOTT THOMPSON

ROLAND--Funeral services for Mrs. Eliott Thompson were held at the Salem Lutheran church, Jan. 14, with the Rev. Everett N. Nelson officiating. A quartette composed of Don H. Boyd, Phillip Jacobson, Harold Lage and Orris Osheim sang tow songs, "I Trust in God," and "My Jesus I Love Thee."

Pallbearers were Carroll J. Twedt, Theodore Sampson, Maurice B. Thompson, Jake A. Mein, C. Elmer Hanson and Luvern Quam.

Interment was in the Roland cemetery.

Life Sketch

Louise Sophie Thompson, daughter of the late Lars and Sara Olson, was born in Roland, Aug. 22, 1897 and died at the Story City Hospital from a heart attack Jan. 11. She had been ill from a heart condition the past two years.

Mrs. Thompson was baptized and confirmed in the Salem Lutheran church. She graduated from the Roland high school in 1916 and was married to Elliott Thompson June 30, 1920. To this union two daughters were born.

Mrs. Thompson spent most of her life in Roland with the exception of nine years in McCallsburg and one year in Seattle, Wash.

She is survived by her husband, two daughters Mrs. Harold (Alice) Fisher of Anaheim, Calif. and Mrs. Judd (Joan) Mills of Bettendorf; five grandchildren, three brothers, Sanford Olson of Roland; Mike Olson of Nevada and Lawrence Olson of San Diego, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Jim Bergeson of Story City and Mrs. Roscoe Anderson of Radcliffe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Otis Olson, two sisters, Mrs. Julius Wilson and one who died in infancy.
