Mrs Leon Hall Rites Held Here
Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha O. Hall were held Friday afternoon Sept. 20 from the Memorial Lutheran church with the Rev. E.P. Windman officiating.
Mrs. Harry Sutherland sang "Old Rugged Cross" and "Going Home" with Leslie Henderson accompanying at the organ.
The flowers were arranged by Mrs. Sam Switzer Sr., Mrs. Morris Wycoff and Mrs. C.A. Ryan.
The casket bearers were Raymond Day, Marion Heintz, Lloyd Jensen, Dean Robertson, Jr., Leo Sutherland and Morris Wycoff.Burial was in the memorial Garden cemetery south of Ames.
Bertha Olive Hall, daughter of Charles and Ira Bennett, was born in Greene county on Jan. 26, 1903 and died Sept. 17, 1957, at the State University Hospital in Iowa City.
On February 9 she was united in marriage to Leon Hall who survives her. To this union was born the son, Richard who is deceased, and a daughters, Barbara, Mrs. Reed Vetter of Webster City, and Regina, Mrs. Robert Williams of Nevada.
She is also survived by her brother, Alden Bennett of Weldon and two sisters, Mrs. Amos Hand of Worland, Wyo. and Mrs. Gerald Johnson of Van Wert.
Mrs. Hall was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and of the Shipley Ladies Aid Society.
