ARTHUR EARNEST SESKER

CAMBRIDGE: Funeral services for Arthur Sesker were held at the Cooper Funeral Home in Maxwell August 22 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Whettland of Jewell officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Earl McHone, who sang his favorite hymn, "Nearer My God To Thee" and "Precious Lord Take My Hand." She was accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Harry Cairns.

Pallbearers were his six nephews, Robert Stanley, Hubert Nelland, Dean and Wayne Sesker. Flowers were cared for by Mrs. John Scott and Mrs. Kermit Griffith.

Interment was in the Cambridge cemetery. The Cooper funeral directors had charge of the services.

Relatives and friends from out of town attending were from Ames, Des Moines, Roland, Huxley, Nevada, Madrid, Kelley, Story City, Hubbard, McCallsburg, Maxwell, Burlington, Iowa City, Boone, Colo, Grimes, Elkhart, Waukee, Ankeny, Scranton, Polk City, Ottawa, Ill., Dodge Center, Minn., Hayfield, Minn. and Owatonna, Minn.

Life Sketch

Arthur Earnest Sesker, son of Nels and Johanna Sesker was born on a farm northeast of Cambridge on July 31, 1900 and died on Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m. August 20, 1957 at the age of 57 years and 20 days.

On April 14, 1920, he was united in marriage to Maggie Simpson. They became the parents of one daughter, Imogene, Mrs. Joe Elders, Jr. and son Gail. He also leaves a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Anita Sesker and son-in-law, Joe Elder, Jr., eight grandchildren, Jolene, Ronnie and Linda Elder and Kevin, Kerry, Renie, Maneen and Burnell Sesker, all of Cambridge.

Heleaves two sisters, Anges, Mrs. W. A. Anderson of Ithaca, N. Y., Julia, Mrs. Iver Iverson of Apple Valley, Calif., three brothers Leonard of Boone, Neil of Cambridge and Bayard of Maxwell as well as a host of relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents and two sisters, Mrs. Olive Seversike and Bernice Sesker.

At the age of 14 he was confirmed in the Cambridge Lutheran Church by the Rev. Peter Buland.

Mr. Sesker had spent his entire life on the family homestead. He had been in failing health for the past several years.
