MARY DOOLITTLE

STORY CITY--Funeral services were held Wednesday in Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church, Story City for Mrs. Mary Doolittle. Services were in charge of the Rev. W. D. Winter, assisted by the Rev. Nickum of Ames.

Sandra Jensen sang three sacred numbers, and Corrine Semler served at the organ.

Interment was in the Story City Cemetery. Pall bearers were Darrell Doolittle, Duane Doolittle, H. J. Nibe, Glenn Rullestad, William S. Starkey and Karl Thompson.

Life Sketch

Mrs. Mary Doolittle, daughter of Knut and Gunild Halverson [should be Holverson] Knutson was born on Jan. 1, 1874, four miles south of Story City. She had been a life long resident of Story County. She died Monday July 29 at 2:45 a.m. following a lengthy illness, at the home of her son Frank, where she had been living for some years.

Mrs. Doolittle is survived by one son, Frank; three grandchildren, Duane and Darrell Doolittle of Story City and Nayda Doolittle Nibe of Blairsburg; eight great grandchildren; three brothers, Ole, Nels and Julius Knutson, all of Story City. One sister and four brothers preceded her death.
