Mrs. Anna Sorensen Dies Here Friday
Mrs. Anna Sorensen, 66, 1722 Eighth street, who had been a patient in the University Hospital in Iowa City the past three weeks, died Friday at 7 p. m. in the Story County Hospital where she had been transferred a few hours earlier.
The funeral will be held from Memorial Lutheran church, Monday at 2 p. m. with the Rev. E. P. Windman officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery by the side of the husband, the late L. P. Sorensen whose death was the result of an accident Feb. 21 of this year.
The body will rest at the Ryan Funeral Home until the time of service.
Mrs. Sorensen was born in Story county, daughter of Lars and Christina Rasmussen, Nov. 16, 1890. She was married to Lars Peter Sorensen, in the Lutheran church in Nevada Dec. 18, 1912.
Surviving are three sons, James Sorensen of Cambridge, Edward of Colo and Charles of Nevada and two daughters, Mrs. Mary Jane Ayers and Mrs. William (Joan) Cody of Nevada. She also leaves ten grandchildren and the following sisters, Mrs. Mary Haugstad, Milwaukee, Wis.; Mrs. Ida Nelson, Vernon Center, Minn.; Mrs. Evelyn Larson, Nevada, Mrs. Ruby Nelson, Maxwell and Mrs. Ruth Nelson of Boone.
