Funeral Services Held In Boone O.E.S. Home For Christina Higgs

MAXWELL:-- Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the chapel of the O.E.S. Home in Boone for Mrs. Christina Higgs who died Saturday, March 9 at the O.E.S Home in Boone at the age of 87 years, 2 months and 3 days. Interment was in the Maxwell Cemetery.

Obituary

Mrs. Chrsitina Higgs was born Jan. 6, 1870 in Polk County and died Mar. 9, 1957. On April 23, 1891 she was married to William A. Higgs. To this union was born three children, one daughter and two sons.

She was a member of the Marion St. Methodist Church in Boone and the Annie Laurie Chapter of the O.E.S. in Maxwell.

She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter. Surviving are her two sons, Verne E. of Madrid and Wayne M. of Nevada. Nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren also survive.
