LLOYD CHESTER BURT

Lloyd Chester Burt, 87, of Story County Long Term Care Center, Nevada IA, died Friday, April 25, 1986, at Story County Hospital, Nevada.

He was born Oct. 25, 1898 at Lodi WI to Chester James and Ella Alma Perry Burt. He was married June 29, 1927, at Merrillan WI to Alice Marcella Meyer.

He lived in Lodi from 1898 to 1965, at Leesburg FL from 1965 to 1977, and at Nevada until the time of his death. He had been a farmer and an employee of the Columbia County Highway Dept.

Mr. Burt was a member of the United Methodist Church. He had been active in 4-H work and "Trees for Tomorrow."

Funeral services were Monday, April 28, at Lodi United Methodist Church with Rev. G. Keith Schroerlucke officiating. Interment was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Lodi WI.

Mr. Burt's survivors incluse three daughters, Jane A. Moore of Knoxville, In, Maurine Burt of Springfield OH and Marcella George of Nevada IA, a sister, Cheryl Schroeder of Wales WI; three grandchildren, Gary George of Nevada, Gail George of Perry IA and Dr. Gwen Luepke of Grand Rapids MI, and a great granddaughter, Julie Luepke.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Ella Burt, and by his wife, Alice, Dec. 22, 1960, and a sister, Hazel Koepnick.

Arrangements were handled locally by Cooper-Ryan Funeral Home, 5th St. and Lincoln Hwy. and in Wisconsin by Hamre Funeral Home of Lodi.
