Obituary Of Mrs. Caroline Sorenson
Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Sorenson were held Monday at 2 p. m. in the Adams Chapel in charge of Reverend William F. Hilker of the Bethesda Lutheran church. Burial was in the Municipal cemetery.
Obituary
A long time Story county resident, Mrs. Caroline Sorenson, 89 years old, died suddenly Friday at 8 p. m. from a heart attack and complications of old age. Her death occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ella Olson, in Ames.
Mrs. Sorenson was born Feb. 28, 1863, in Denmark and came to Story county in 1885. She made her home on a farm near Kelley, until 15 years ago when she broke up housekeeping to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. J. L. Reinertson.
Her marriage to George Sroenson took place August 22, 1885 at Ames. Mr. Sorenson passed away in December 1918.
Mrs. Sorenson had long been a member of the Lutheran church. Surviving her are five sons James of Boone; Carl, Sern, Edward and Charlie of Ames; three daughters Mrs. Ella Olson of Ames, Mrs. Anna Rhoads of Woodward and Mrs. Mae Reinertson of Kelley; sixteen grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. One son Lewis, preceded her in death.
