OBITUARY

Mrs. Joseph Chitty died at the family home near Fernald Tuesday morning, February 21st. She had been in decline for many months, was surgically operated upon about three weeks ago with favorable results, and rallied after; but vitality was scant and she passed away as stated. Celenda Bowden Page was born July 24, 1857, and was married twenty-eight years ago to Joseph N. Chitty, who with their daughter Jacova and their son Christopher survive, as do also her father C. P. Page and her brother, Jay Page, both of Nevada, and her sister, Mrs. John (Irene) McLain of Webster City. Mrs. Chitty was a woman of admirable qualities and impressed herself favorably on those who met her. Her funeral sill be held Thursday at the church in Fernald and burial will be in the Methodist cemetery at Johnson's Grove.
