The fast mail, No. 15, last Friday morning struck and instantly killed a man who was walking on the track about two mile east of Colo. The body was brought to Colo, and an inquest was held by Dr. Conner, county coroner. The facts developed are that deceased's name was Edward Atkins*, that he had served in Company F, 11th regiment, Ohio Cavalry, and had on him discharge papers from the soldiers' home at Dayton, Ohio. It was thought that he was about 65 years old and that he had friends as acquaintances Chicago, Milwaukee, Dayton, Galt, Ontario and some point in Nebraska. Dr. Conner is now corresponding for the purpose of locating then informing his family friends of the fatality. Burial was at Colo.
