OBITUARY

DEATH OF MRS. T. L. SEEVERS

Mrs. Mary L. Seevers, widow of the late T. L. Seevers, died the first of the week in Omaha, her remains were taken to Marshalltown on Tuesday and burial was on Wednesday beside her kindred in the cemetery of that city. Mr. and Mrs. Seevers were for about ten years valued citizens of Nevada, coming here from Marshalltown. Mr. Seevers having charge of the electric light plant here, and Mrs. Seevers being highly esteemed in both church and society. They went from here to Des Moines nine years years ago, and there Mr. Seevers' life closed after three or four years.

Mrs. Seevers was twice married, her first husband being John B. Kennedy. He died in the early 70's in Marshalltown leaving her with two sons. The elder son, Frank P. Kennedy, now resides in Omaha, and it was at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank P. Kennedy that Mrs. Seevers spent the last year of her life, coming there to recuperate from a malady which had come upon her while visiting in California. Her other son, Bert Kennedy, died in St. Louis while Mr. and Mrs. Seevers lived in Nevada, his death being the result of a fall from an electric light pole when he was doing some wiring. His death was a great sorrow to the mother, as her friends here well remember. Her last visit in Nevada occurred about Christmas in 1910, shortly before her leaving for California, and her presence here was, as usual when she came, most heartily welcomed by her old friends. Long will she be remembered an regretted.
