DEATHS

MAUDE TOOT

Maude Toot, 90, of Nevada, Ia., died Sunday July 14, 1985, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home, Zearing, Ia.

She was born May 23, 1895, near Nevada, Ia., to Walter and Anna (Hotsenpiller) Conder.

She attended country school and was in the second graduating class of Fernald High School, class of 1913.

On February 14, 1917, she was married at Nevada, Ia., to Leslie Toot. They farmed in the Nevada area.

Mrs. Toot taught school for a few years.

She was a member of Nevada Memorial Lutheran Church, ODO Club and EOW Club.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, at Memorial Lutheran Church, Nevada, Ia., with Pastor Don Rothweiler officiating. Interment will be in Nevada Cemetery, Nevada, Ia.

Survivors include a son Delmar, of Nevada, Ia.; three daughters, Frances Knaphus of McCallsburg, Ia., Virginia Moser of Nevada, Ia., and Harriet Jesse of Orlando, Fla., 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Her husband Leslie, died Feb. 12, 1957. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Elmo and Elza, and a sister, Frances New.

The family will receive friends at Ryan Funeral Home, 5th St. and Lincoln Highway, Nevada on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.
