Funeral Services For Katherine White
Maxwell, Jan. 17 -- Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine White, known to the friends and neighbors at "Aunt Kate," were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Church of Christ, with her pastor, the Rev. Stanley Mahannah, officiating.
Mrs. Ray Gooden, soloist, sang two favorite selections with Mrs. H. C. Larsen accompanying. Floral tributes were very beautiful and profuse. During the service the pastor read the followig brief lift sketch.
Katherine Hennick was born near Muncie, Ind., Dec. 5, 1853, and passed away at her home in Maxwell, Iowa, at the age of ninety-two.
She came to Iowa in 1912, and was married to the late Asa White Jan. 1, 1912. She lived in Maxwell her entire married life.
She was the last one of her family to pass on. She was untiring in her efforts to make other happy. She was a member of the local Church of Christ, being very active in church work as long as her health permitted.
She leaves to mourn her passing two step-children, L. R. White of Nevada, and Mrs. Hattie Hardenbrook of Minneapolis, Minn., beside a host of nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
Interment was made in the Center Grove cemetery.
