Rev. Brower read the following life sketch.

Earl Franklin, son of William and Sadie Boitnott, was the third child of a family of eleven children. He was born near Maxwell, Iowa, Dec. 9th, 1893, where he grew to manhood and attended the Maxwell school. As a young man he worked at farming and the carpenter trade. He was a tireless and industrious worker as long as he was able, working mostly in the Cambridge community.

For some time he had been in failing health and quietly passed away March 22, 1945, at the age of 51 years, 3 months, and 13 days. He leaves to mourn his passing his mother, Sadie Boitnott, of Maxwell, four brothers and one sister of Roanoke, Va., Willie of Des Moines, Mrs. Edith Kaltenheuser of Ames, George of Newton, Cecil of Roanoke, Va., and Edgar of Des Moines, and many other relatives and friends. His father, three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
