Funeral Services Held at Maxwell For Mrs. Stone

Maxwell, March 19--Funeral services for Jessie Elizabeth Stone wife of A. W. Stone were held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in the Church of Christ with the pastor, Rev. R. G. W. Collins in charge. With Mrs. Ned Pearson at the piano, Mrs. Kenneth Tomlinson and Mrs. Collins sang, "Does Jesus Care," "In the Garden," and "Sweetly Resting." The floral tributes were very beautiful.

Pallbearers were, Jackie Bloomfield, N. Jay Pearson, J. H. Cleverley, A. E. Harris, E. R. Bell and George Rupp.

Rev. Collins read the following life sketch preceding the sermon.

Jessie Elizabeth McFadden Stone was born July 10, 1882 at Boone, and passed from this life at 11:40 a.m. on March 9, 1943 at her home in Maxwell. Her parents were John and Hattie McFadden.

She was married to Archie W. Stone on September 25, 1902. In 1920 they moved to Maxwell where she spent the remainder of her life.

To this union five children were born. One of these preceded her in death.

Mrs. Stone leaves to mourn her loss two daughters, Mrs. Orville Hagen and Mrs. Bernadine Olson both of Roland; two sons, Derryl of Roland, and Clayton who is somewhere in North Africa with out armed forces, eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Etta Owens of Glidden, Iowa, and two brothers, Ray McFadden of Wichita Kansas and William McFadden of Maxwell, Iowa.
