Funeral Rites Held At Maxwell For Cora Alma Randall

Maxwell, July 10--Final rites for Cora Alma Randall, 64, who died at her home last week, were held Sunday afternoon at the home, while burial followed in the Maxwell cemetery.

Three hymns, "Face to Face," "Home of the Soul" and "Going Down the Valley," were sung by a mixed quartet consisting of Harry Fackler, O. D. Houser, Mrs. H. Mohler and Mrs. H. C. Larson, with Phyllis Turner at the organ.

Pallbearers were Harry Gibson, N. Jay Pearson, W. I. Troup, Dan Peters, Charles French and J. W. Bloomfield.

The following brief life sketch of the deceased was read by the minister during the service:

"Cora Alma Randall, daughter of Milo Marion and Adelia Ann Randall, was born August 19, 1878. She was the youngest of a family of six children, two boys and four girls. All of her life has been spent in or near Maxwell.

"In early life she united with the Maxwell Methodist church and was active in church work until the more recent years. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Frona Troup, who had jointly shared the home with her for the past fifteen years; a niece, Olive Greeley, of Calama, Chile, two other nieces and seven nephews in Nebraska, Wyoming, Washington, D. C. and Los Angeles.

"Miss Cora has been very energetic and active in fixing up in and around her home. She had been in failing health for the past year, but even after her twelve days in the Des Moines General hospital she had good hopes of recovery. She will be missed by her many friends for she had gone to that land from whence no traveller returns.
