Funeral Services for Mrs. Charles Fink at Zearing Wednesday

Special to the Journal.
Zearing, Oct. 23 -- The funeral services for Mrs Charles Fink, 46, Zearing woman, held at the Brouhard Funeral Home here on Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. C. E. Lookingbill in charge, were attended by a large gathering of relatives, friends and neighbors.

The flora offerings were many and beautiful, the music impressive and the sermon preached most appropriate.

The following life sketch of the young wife and mother was read by the minister.

"Mildred Ann Wire was born in Cambridge, Ia., March 13, 1895, the daughter of Gideon and Alma Wire, and departed this life Oct. 20, 1941, at the St. Thomas hospital in Marshalltown at he age of 46 years, 7 months and 7 days.

"She spent most of her life in Cambridge until she was married to Charles E. Fink, Aug. 30, 1911, at Nevada. To this union were born four children, Wendell J. Fink of Cheyenne, Wyo., Velma G. Holveck of Zearing, Franklin C. Fink of Colo and Edwin D. Fink of Meridan, Miss., leaving these to mourn her death. Besides her husband and immediate family, she leaves one sister, Mrs. Vera Baker of Des Moines, one brother George Wise of Haverhill, five grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

"She will be greatly missed by all who knew her or came in contact with her for her generous acts and kind deeds.

She was a loving wife and mother, a member of the Methodist church of Cambridge, where she was baptized when just a child, also affiliated with the Social Hour club.

"Having preceded her in death are her father and mother, six sisters and two brothers. She spent he past 20 years in the Zearing community, where she made many friends who she was always willing to help."
