Funeral Services Held Here Monday for Little Bobby Huff

Funeral services for little Robert Huff, who died in the Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines June 7, were held at the Nevada Church of Christ Monday afternoon, with Rev. C. V. Pence in charge. The songs were by Mrs. Robert Ogden and Mrs. David Tillotson, with Mrs. Merle Lobaugh at the piano. Burial was in the cemetery at Iowa Center.

The Obituary

Robert Theodore Huff, son of Glen E. Huff and Lucille Huff Brady, was born on a farm on mile wet of Nevada, Oct. 6, 1934, and died at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines June 7, 1940 age 5 years, 8 months and 1 day.

Bobby, as he was called, was a brilliant little child, showing great affection to all with whom he was associated, and willing in return the love and admiration of all.

He made his home with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Weeks from June 1, 1938 until Feb. 11, 1940, and he attended country school from Sept. 1 until Feb 11 this year, at Halley school. He then went to live in his mother's home after her marriage to W. R. Brady, and he entered Byron Rice school in Beaverdale.

His association again with his mother and new father, whom he had learned to idolize and who was his constant companion, brought much happiness to himself and his family and every fay was full of plans for his future.

May 20th he was stricken with scarlet fever and apparently had recovered, seeming to be his normal lively self again, when suddenly complications developed which the best doctors and nurses and all the loving care could not check and he passed peacefully away Friday night.

He leaves besides his immediate family his grandparents, several uncles and aunts and cousins, also a host of friends and playmates who will miss his happy smile.
