Funeral Service Helt Today for Aged Ames Woman

Mrs. H. L. Orland, 87, Ames woman who roomed at 804 Kellogg, Ames, was found dead Tuesday morning at the foot of the stairway in the apartment where she lived.

She had been found by Mrs. John Haverly and Harry Weldman occupants of the same apartment house.

Coroner Guy Mills of McCallsburg, in Nevada this morning state she had apparently gotten up about 3 a. m. and mistook the stairway door for the one entering the bathroom.

Mrs. Orland observed her 87th birthday last Saturday. She was born in Norway, March 4, 1857 and was a charter member of the Bethesda Lutheran church in Ames and the Dorcas society.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 this afternoon at the Adams Chapel with the Rev. Joseph Knutson of Bethesda Lutheran church in charge. Burial was in the Ames cemetery.
