THE DES MOINES REGISTER, November 5, 1995, page 7. Obituary: "Doris J. Damman, 70, of Melbourne died of a heart ailment Friday at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John United Church of Christ, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Damman was born in Laurel and was a retired nurse's aide. Survivors include her husband, LeRoy; a son, Jeffrey of Melbourne; three daughters, Barbara Meyer of Kellogg, Deborah de Silva of Grundy Center and Rebecca Flora of Tama; two sisters, Lois Middelkoop of Melbourne and Helen Baker of California; a brother, Marvin Sash of Missouri; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday at Ryan-Davis Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to here church."
