Committal Service For Mrs. Inez Toot At Murphey Cemetery

Funeral services for Mrs. Inez Toot of Blue Earth, Minn., former Story county resident, who passed away July 14 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Whitmore at Blue Earth, Minn., were held Tuesday afternoon at Blue Earth and on Wednesday afternoon at the Morfoot Funeral Home in Nevada. The latter service was in chage of the Rev. E. P. Windman of Memorial Lutheran church followed by committal in the Murphey cemetery near Fernald.

The son, Harold Toot and wife, accompanied the body here for burial and returned to their home in Kansas City Wednesday evening. Others from out of town for the final rites were Mr. and Mrs. George Whitmore, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Haniceck, Mrs. Ted Dray, and Charles Toot of Blue Earth, Minn., Mrs. Pearl Toot of Wells, Minn., Mr. B. Toot of Boone, Mrs. Harry Stowe of Cambridge and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stowe of Newton.

The following obituary was read at the funeral service:

"Mrs. Charles Toot passed away July 14, 1945, age 59 years, 2 months and 17 days., at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Whitmore of Blue Earth, Minn.

"Inez Viola McIntosh was born April 27, 1886, to Melvin and Carrie McIntosh.

"On March 9, 1903 she was united in marriage to Charles Toot. To this union was born three daughters and one son all of whom survive: (Ruth) Mrs. George Whitmore, Blue Earth, Minn., (Grace) Mrs. Hans Haniceck of Elmore, Minn., (Iva) Mrs. Ted Dray of Blue Earth, Minn., and Harold E. Toot of Kansas City, Kans. Fifteen grandchildren, four brothers and four sisters also survive."

The deceased is a sister of C. S. Toot of Nevada, Leslie Toot of Roland and Mrs. Harry Stowe of Cambridge. She leaves three other sisters, Kate Pulliam and Mrs. Carl Lamm of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Pearl Toot of Wells, Minn., and two other brothers, Clarence E. Toot of Los Angeles, Calif., and Ben Toot of Boone.
