Last Rites for Ira Marshall Were Held in Colo

Colo, Nov. 8. Funeral services for Ira Marshall, a resident of Colo for 40 years, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Colo Evangelical church with the Rev. C. E. Lookingbill of Nevada officiating.

The music was by Mrs. Emma Hemping and Mrs. Curtis Marsh with Mrs. Lois Dickinson at the piano.

The casket bearers were Les Deming, Jack Donnelly, Marion Christensen, Arthur Wright, Henry Hemping and Charles Upchurch.

Committal was in the Colo cemetery.

The following obituary was read at the funeral service.

"Ira Marshall was born Feb. 3, 1874 at Mitchell, Indiana. He died November 1st, 1946 at Colo, Iowa at the age of 72 years, 8 months and 28 days.

"Mr. Marshall was the son of Benjamin Franklin Marshall and Suzanne Wells Marshall and is the last one of this family as one brother and two sisters preceded him in death.

"He had made his home in Colo and community for the last 40 years.

"He leaves one nephew at Mitchell, Indiana; one at Belle Fontaine, Ohio and a niece at Sioux City, Iowa. Mr. Marshall had a host of friends and was a great lover of children and was always glad to welcome them.
