PROMINENT YOUNG LADY PASSES AWAY

Miss Bella Stole Expired Last Saturday Morning After Many Months of Illness. Immense Crowd at Funeral Tuesday Afternoon.

The long expected tidings of the death of Miss Bella Stole, came last Saturday morning she having passed into the great beyond a few minutes before six o'clock in the morning. For many months she had been a patient sufferer from phthisis pulmonaris but never did she utter one word of complaint, but was ever cheerful and content with her fate. She had prepared herself for the journey that she knew was coming and gladly accepted death, so that she might enter into the Promise Land.

Bella Stole was born in Roland on February 14, 1898 and died on Saturday, March 30, 1912 being 19 years, 1 month and 5 days old when the final summons came. She was the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Nelson, but when a tiny infant her mother passed away and at the age of six months, Mr. and Mrs. O. O. Stole adopted her as their own child. Mr. and Mrs. Stole have given her a home and care, that could have been no better, had she been of their own flesh and blood, and the loss to them will be irreparable, except in so far that they have every assurance that she has entered into a better home than they were able to give her.

During her childhood days she attended the public schools of Roland and graduated from the High school in 1910. Since that time, she has been assisting at the postoffice, whree she gained the goodwill and confidence of all the patrons. She was a member of the Salems Lutheran church, an active worker in Sunday school, in the choir, in Luther League and the Busy Bees, in all of which places she will be missed.

The funeral was held from Salem church on Tuesday afternoon, the church being filled to its utmost with loving friends of the deceased. The casket was covered with many very beautiful floral offerings, some of which were presented by the following - Gates Ajar, by girl friend in town Broken Wheels by classmates, wreath by Mr. and Mrs. R. Nelson; bouquet of Easter lilies and carnations by neighbor ladies; bouquet of lillies by Busy Bees and Choir members; bouquet of roses by Mesdames Jane Erickson and R. K. Hovland, besides numerous other very beautiful bouquets and flowers. Rev. J. N. Sandven preached a very impressive sermon and the choir rendered two songs, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Roland cemetery. The pall bearers were chosen from among her most intimate friends, being Misses Helga Qualem, Josie Ferkin, Adalaide Solem, Cora Christian, Clara Scott and Lunora Evenson.

Among those from a distance in attendance at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Osmundson, of Slater; Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Hadley, of Nevada; Mrs. Peter Myrah, of Badger; Mrs. Lewis Hill, of Thor; Mrs. John Halverson, of Sheldahl; Miss Vivian Myrahk of Forest City; Mrs. G. S. Holland and daughter Ada, of Radcliffe; Helge Fossa and Tom Austad, of Radcliffe; C. Osmundson of Webster City.

The sorrowing ones are extended the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community in the hour of their bereavement.
