The following obituary was read by the pastor: "James Wesley Dickinson, son of Frank and Sarah Dickinson was born at Kokomo, Indiana June 28, 1862, and passed away at the Deaconess hospital in Marshalltown, Iowa Thursday evening Dec. 11, 1947, at 7:30, aged 85 years, 5 months and 13 days. He came from his home in Indiana to the vicinity of Colo in September 1880 with his sister Delila.

On December 14, 1887 he was united in marriage to Ollie B. Gearhart, his funeral being on their 60th wedding anniversary.
