Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 20, in the Elhart Christian church for Clayton W. Scott with the Rev. D. G. Holman in charge.

Music was furnished by Ralph Brazelton, Mrs. Harry Higgenbottom, Dorothy Brazelton and Roscoe Beighler, accompanied by Mrs. Melville Cory.

Casket bearers were Harold Frederick, Harry Parimenter, Chris Kappos, Herbert Cory, Allen Cory and Charles Barnhill.

Burial was in the Elkhart cemetery.

Clayton W. Scott, son of Marion and Kate Scott, was born August 8, 1899, and passed away at his home in Elkhart October 18, 1948, at the age of 49 years, two months and 10 days. On December 29, 1923, he was united in marriage to Grace Higgins. Three children were born to this union, Hollis, Edward and Geraldine.

Surviving are his wife Grace; two sons, Hollis of Elkhart and Edward of Chicago; one daughter, Geraldine at home, two brothers, Ray Scott of Cambridge and Howard Scott of Los Angeles, Calif., and two sisters, Mrs. Florence Elliott of Burlington and Mrs. Ethel Johnson of Cambridge.
