Hold Final Rites For Mrs. Chas. Reinertson

Funeral services were held in the Palestine church at Huxley Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Charley Reinertson of near Des Moines, who passed away last Saturday afternoon at the Iowa Lutheran hospital.

A short service was held at the Hamilton Funeral home in Des Moines with Rev. Lockesgaard of Central Lutheran church in charge at one p.m. and at 2:30 at the Palestine church with Rev. Buland officiating, assisted by Pastor Norman Estrem. Burial was in the Palestine cemetery.

Mrs. LaVerne Richardson sang two solos, "Safe in the Ames of Jesus" and "The City Four Square" with DeWayne Wee at the organ.

After the services, a lunch was served to relatives and near friends from all the near towns and from St. Paul, Minn., Chariton, Eagle Grove, Des Moines, Madrid, Ames and Polk City.

The following obituary was read at the services. Anna Tesdall Reinertson was born March 14, 1882, on a farm south of Huxley, the daughter of Ole and Betsy Tesdall, and died at the Iowa Lutheran hospital in Des Moines June 11, 1949, having been a patient in the hospital since April 24. She was baptized and confirmed in the Palestine Lutheran church and was a life-long member of that church.

Surviving are her husband, Charles Reinertson, two daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Charlotte) Lundy of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Gordon (Ola) Hennick of Huxley; four grandchildren, three brothers, Eric of Ames, Martin and Burton of Huxley, and one sister, Mrs. Ole (Margaret) Chelsvig.

Preceding her in death were brothers, Oliver, Charles and John, and sisters, Mrs. Amos (Carrie) Nervig and Mrs. Andrew (Bertha) Fjelland and her parents.
