Hold Final Services For Hattie B. Cooper

Funeral services for Hattie B. Cooper were held Monday afternoon, Sept. 12, in the Collins Church of Christ with the Rev. C. E. Lookingbill of Nevada in charge. He was assisted by the Rev. Henry Esch.

Burial was in the Collins Evergreen cemetery.

Appropriate music was presented by Mrs. Mary Tomlinson, Mrs. Mabel Mullihan, Bradford Stevens and Thomas Huntrods, accompanied by Mrs. Francis Stone, pianist.

The many and beautiful flowers were cared for by Mrs. Sam Hyatt, Mrs. Nellie Andrews and Mrs. Mable Tripp.

Casket bearers were Everett Fry, Robert Fry, Donald Fry, Rudy Fry, Willis Cook and Clark Cook, all grandsons of the deceased.

Obituary

Life began for Hattie Black Cooper, April 12, 1864, the daughter of Sarah Wynn and James Black. On March 4, 1883, she was united in marriage to Charles Anthony Cooper and to this union six children were born, three children and the husband preceding her in death.

Mrs. Cooper had the privilege of enjoying five generations of her family--10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.

Departing this life, Sept. 10, 1949, at the age of 85 years, four months and 28 days, she will be greatly missed by all of her relatives and host of friends.

Survivors

Immediate survivors include her two daughters, Mrs. Edith Anderson of Marshalltown and Mrs. James Sager of Collins; one son, Leo Cooper of Colo and one sister Mrs. R. E. Marsh of Charles City.
