Final Rites in Zearing For Dorothy Hennies
Funeral services for Dorothy Hennies, 39, who passed away suddenly at her home in Mason City on Friday, Oct. 21, were held Sunday afternoon from the Zearing Evangelical United Brethren church with the Rev. Dennert in charge of the rites. Burial was in the Collins cemetery.
Music was furnished by Carroll Bailey, Eldon Crain, G. F. McBride and Gordon Lundy, accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Walter Lund.
The many and beautiful flowers were cared for by Helen Oehlson and Daisy Lefeure.
Casket bearers were Art Oehlson, Paul Talmadge, Cliff Carver, K. L. Cerka, Russell Carver and Don Brouhard.
Obituary
Dorothy Harrington Hennies was born Oct. 24, 1909, at Collins, Iowa, as the third child of Charles A. and Blanche Harrington. She grew up in Zearing, where she graduated from high school in 1927.
On November of the same year she was married to William H. Hennies of Hollandale, Minnesota. To this union were born three children, one son preceding her in death.
She resided in Mason City for the past six and one-half years, where she suddenly passed away from natural causes on Oct. 20, at the age of 39 years, 11 months and 26 days.
She was a loyal member of the Evangelical United Brethern church.
Survivors
Surviving are her two children, Patricia A. and Clyde A.; her mother, Mrs. Blanche Harrington; two brothers, Harold A. of Salem, Ore., and Floyd S. of Ackley, and one sister, Mrs. Gladys Zamgow of Waukon, Iowa.
