Funeral Tuesday For Mrs. Andrew Streeter

Final rites held Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 24, from the Highland Park Funeral home in Des Moines for Mrs. Andrew J. Streeter; burial was in the Ashton Chapel cemetery near her old home at Mingo.

Mrs. Streeter died Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Mercy hospital in Des Moines at the age of 69 years, 10 months and 23 days.

Obituary

Lela M. Walker was born in Terre Haute, Ind., Jan 13, 1881, the only daughter of F. C. and Viola E. Walker. She had three brothers, Fred and Otho who preceded her in death and Frank P. Walker who lives in Eugene, Ore.

She moved from Indiana to Collins, at the age of 11 years.

She was united in marriage to Andrew J. Streeter of Mingo March 18, 1900. To this union three children were born: Mabel (Mrs. I. D. Mullihan) of Colo; June (Mrs. John C. Stouffer) of Des Monies, and F. C. Streeter of Newton.

Mr. Streeter preceded her in death, passing away Dec. 14, 1948.

Mrs. Streeter was a member of the Highland Park Presbyterian church of Des Moines and of the Lawton Camp Auxiliary of Spanish-Ameridan War Veterans.
