THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, July 25, 1901, page 6, column 2. "Elwell - Little Earl Andrus, son of Wm. And Ella Andrus, was born in Des Moines, July 2, 1901, and died July 21st. Thus another home is robbed of sunshine. The little one was buried Monday afternoon at the Center Grove cemetery. The parents have the sympathy of many friends in their sad bereavement….Miss Cora Andrus and Chester came down from Nevada to attend the funeral of the infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Andrus. They were accompanied home by Mrs. Andrus….CARD OF THANKS. - Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Andrus wish to extend their thanks to the friends of Elwell who so kindly assisted them in their late bereavement."
