THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, February 16, 1922, page 1. "James Allen died at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Byers, near Colo, Friday night, seventy-four years of age. The funeral was preached at Mr. Zion Sunday by Rev. Stauffacher, and the remains interred in the Center Grove cemetery."
