DEATHS

Funeral services were held Monday, April 24 at 2 p.m. for Fred A. Rahfeldt, in the EUB Church in Zearing. Rev. Richard Miller was in charge of the services. Burial was in the Zearing Cemetery.

Pall bearers were Robert Miller, Jim Miller, Gerald Miller, Clarence Theilen, Clyde Miller, Jr. and Kenneth Schaper. Brouhard Funeral Home of Zearing was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Dorothy Lund of Zearing was organist.

Relatives and friends attending the funeral were from Carroll, Ia., Marshalltown, State Center, Iowa Falls, Owasa, Eldora, Clarion, Mason City, Des Moines, Hubbard, Montour, Ames, Colo, Nevada and Story City.

Fred A. Rahfeldt, the son of A. F. and Darah Rahfeldt, was born March 7, 1892 at Zearing and died at athe home of his daughter, Mrs. John Schaper in Iowa Falls on April 21, 1967 at the age of 75. On January 1, 1914, he was married to Seba Brookman. To the couple seven children were born all of whom survive.

Most of his life was spent in and around the Zearing community.

Four daughters and three sons survive their father. They are Mrs. John (Florence) Schapter of Iowa Falls, Mrs. Clyde (Helen) Miller of Owasa, Ia., Mrs. Clarence (Marguerite) Mehlow, Zearing; Mrs. Eugene (Frances) Kadolph, Eldora, Frank, Austin, Minn., Albert, East Lansing, Mich. and Lee of Mercer Island, Wash. Three brothers, William, Edward and Robert all of Zearing and three sisters, Mrs. Walter (Lydia) Gull and Mrs. Lottie Erickson, both of Zearing and Nellie Rahfeldt of Nevada, 19 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends also survive.

His parents and one brother, Charles Rahfeldt preceded him in death.
