From Nevada Representative December 3, 1902 (page 5)
--Mrs. Lucinda Bartlett, wife of Lucian Bartlett, died Wednesday evening, November 26, at the family home in this city, aged 47 year, 4 month and 25 days. Mrs. Bartlett died of consumption, and her death had for some time been recognized as imminent. She leaves besides her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Edgar John, and three sons, Ansel L., Charles and Frank. Another daughter, Etta, died of the same disease only a month before her, and two other children died in infancy. Lucinda Stewart was born July 1, 1845, in Indiana, and was married to Mr. Bartlett in 1866. They settled soon after at Peoria in the north edge of Polk county and resided there until 1891, when they moved into Maxwell. A few months ago after protracted searches after health for the wife and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bartlett and Miss Ella moved up to Nevada. Now only Mr. Bartlett is left. People had practically no opportunity to get acquainted with Mrs. Bartlett after the family came here, but she is very kindly spoken of by those who knew her. The remains were taken to Maxwell, where the funeral was conducted from the Presbyterian church by the pastor, Rev. Bobbett.
