Funeral Services For Mrs. Troutner

Special to the Journal.
Colo, Sept. 12--Funeral services for Mrs. George Troutner, who died at her home north of Colo, Sunday were held at the Colo Methodist church in charge of the pastor Rev. Harold H. Stark. The music was furnished by a quartette composed of Mesdames Loyd Lounsberry and H. F. Lambeth and Messrs. C. B. Wilson and J. D. Lounsberry, Mrs. E. M. Spencer accompanied them at the piano.

The pall bearers were Messrs. William Greiner, Fred Thronton, Luke O'Donnell, Henry Dewey, Ralph Handsaker and Thomas Handsaker.

Interment was in the Colo cemetery.

Sylvia Ann Bartlett was born at Boone, Iowa, November 25, 1882 and died at her home north of Colo on September 8, 1929 aged 46 years, 9 months and 13 days.

Death came to her following a heart attack a little more than a week ago. She had been a sufferer from heart disease for the last 12 years.

When she was a small child her parents moved from Boone to the community around Colo which has since been her home.

On September 19, 1899 she was united in marriage with George Troutner at Colo. To this union one child was born, passing away in infancy. She was also preceded in death by her father and mother; one brother Arthur T. Bartlett, and one sister, Mamie.

Mrs. Troutner never united with any church but always attended the Evangelical church of Colo drawn there because of her close friendship with the Rev. Bamford, who officiated at her wedding.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, George Troutner; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Troutner of Colo; and Mrs. Emma Whitmore of Garner; several nieces and nephews; other more distanct relatives, and a host of friends.
