John Troutner Is Dead in Hospital Here At Age of 75

John Troutner, who farmed northeast of Colo for many years, died at 8:50 a.m. Monday at the Story County Hospital.

Mr. Troutner had been ill since March 17 when he suffered a heart attack.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Troutner, he was born in Story County, educated in the rural schools, and lived here his entire life. He was married to Ella Coughenour of Colo. At one time he was a field assessor for the County Assessor's office in Nevada.

He retired from active farming two years ago and had lived either at home or with his two daughters since that time.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Charles Miller of Newton and Mrs. Kenneth Zea of Colo; four brothers, Floyd of Marshalltwon, Roy of Gilman, Earl of Davenport and Sidney of Waterville, Minn.; and five sisters, Mrs. Wilbur Myers, Mrs. Donald Dunahoo and Mrs. Earl Douglas, all of Nevada, Mrs. Russell Schuler of Rhoads and Mrs. Fred DeHart of Council Bluffs.

Mrs. Troutner died in 1954.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Colo E.U.B. Church. Rev. Duane Manning will officiate.
