YOUNG MOTHER LAID TO REST

Mrs. Emil Olson Buried at Jewell Thursday Afternoon. Many from Here Attend Funeral. Deceased Was Daughter of John P. Helland.

Mrs. Emil Olson passed away at her home west of Jewell on Monday, April 24th, after an illness of several weeks with the flu following by pneumonia, at the age of 36 years, 8 months and 17 days. Funeral services were held from Bethesda Lutheran church at two o'clock last Thursday afternoon, her pastor, Rev. J. M. Wick, preaching the funeral sermon. Interment took place in the Jewell cemetery. A large number of relatives from this place attended the funeral.

Sena Helland was born August 7, 1885, and was a daughter of John P. Helland of this place. She grew to womanhood in this community and on February 2, 1910, she was married to Mr. Emil Olson of Jewell. Two children were born to this union, one of them passing away in infancy and the other is left motherless to mourn the untimely death of a kind and loving mother.

Besides the husband and son, she leaves her father, John P. Helland, of this place, four sisters, Mrs. J. J. Stokka of Ames, Mrs. Josie Anderson of Morris, Minn., Mrs. Ole Gunderson of Pentywood, Mont., Mrs. Ed Gunderson of Kanawha, three bothers, Peter Helland of Minneapolis, Edward Helland of Buffalo Center and Oscar Helland of near this place. Two bothers, a sister and her mother have preceded her in death.
