Obituary

Anna Enge Sesker, daughter of Alvin and Jorena Enge, was born March 14, 1855, at Etna, Norway, and passed away Aug. 9, 1949, at McCallsburg at the age of 94 years, four months and 25 days.

She came to the United States from Norway at the age of 20, settling in the Cambridge vicinity.

In March, 1883, she was united in marriage to John F. Sesker. They moved to farm northeast of Cambridge, where they made their home for 51 years. Owing to failing health and old age they then moved to McCallsburg, where her husband passed away on Dec. 18, 1943.

She then went to live with her daughter, Ellen, who lovingly and untiringly waited on her to last. She was a loving and devoted mother, always interested in the welfare of her family. It can be truly said of her, she was an example of patience and forbearance, as she was bedfast the greater part of the past seven years yet never complaining of her lot. She was a devoted Christian, always trusting in the Lord for the future. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
