Lewis Anderson, 85 Dies At His Home In S.C. Tuesday

Lewis H. Anderson, 85, of Story City died suddenly at his home in Story City at 3 a.m. this morning.

Born Dec. 24, 1878 in Hardin County, he had farmed in Hardin County and in Minnesota until his retirement 20 years ago when he moved to Story City.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 24 at 1:30 p.m., in Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Harold T. Masted officiating. Burial will be in the Story City Municipal cemetery. Larson Funeral Home, Story City is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Olga; five sons, Marvin of Ames, Julian of Brussels, Belgium, Orlin of Story City; Morris and Arvid, both of Exira; two sisters, Mrs. Louisa Swenson and Mrs. Jena Swenson of Story City; four brothers, Richard of Jewell, Arthur and Benjamin of Story City and Julius of Des Moines; fourteen grandchildren and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son and two brothers.
