MARIE DUESBURY VAN DREW

Marie Duesbury Van Drew, 78, of Des Moines, died at Iowa Methodist Hospital, Des Moines, early this morning, Dec. 22, 1980.

She was born March 29, 1902 near Colfax, the daughter of Joseph and Catherine Maher. On Feb. 12, 1934, she married George William Duesbury. He preceded her in death in 1959.

Mrs. Van Drew lived in the Collins area most of her life, until moving to Des Moines in 1966 when she married Lennie Van Drew.

She is survived by her husband, Lennie; one daughter, Mary Kangley of Hampton; two grandchildren, Chris and Janese; two sisters, Mrs. Wayne Evans of Collins and Mrs. Floyd Proudfit of Des Moines; and two brothers, Bud Maher of Ankeny and Melvin Maher of Des Moines.

Funeral services are pending at the Grandview Funeral Home, Des Moines. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Colo.
