Death of Mrs. Hans K. Haaland

Mrs. Hans K. Haaland died Monday morning at three o'clock after a short illness of about a month. Mrs. Haaland was 2 years of age at the time of her death.

Martha Paulson-Haaland was born in Norway, Europe, April 7, 1849. At the age of twenty years she emigrated to this country, coming direct to Story county. A few years later she was united in marriage to Christ Paulson, after which they moved to a farm two miles south of Roland. Mr. Paulson died in 1892. On April 18, 1898, she was married to Hans H. Haaland and a few years later moved to Roland, where she has resided up to the time of her death.

She leaves to mourn her death a husband, one sister, Ellen Hoversten, and one brother, J. J. Hoversten.

Funeral services are being held today from Salems church.
