YOUNG FARMER DIES

Oscar Jondal Died Sunday - Funeral Services Wednesday

A dark gloom was cast over this community Sunday afternoon when it was learned that Oscar Jondal, who has been seriously ill for several weeks, had passed away at his home southeast of town. Oscar has not been in the best of health for the past year.

Last fall he was taken ill with influenza, from which he had not fully recovered, when he was taken down with pleurisy a few months ago. From this attack he was just recovering and was rapidly regaining his strength when about two weeks ago he suffered a set back which result in his untimely death on Sunday afternoon at one o'clock. Mr. Jondal was 43 years of age at the time of his death.

Mr. Jondal is survived by three sisters and three brothers, namely Mrs. Malinda Duea, Mrs. Cass Christian of Frost, Minn., and Mrs. John Christian, Henry Jondal of Minneapolis, E. P. Jondal of Bemidji, Minn., and S. H. Jondal and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon from Salems church. Internment took place in the Roland cemetery.

Transcriber note: Oscar's grave marker reads: Oscar Jondall Dec 13 1876 - Oct 17 1920. His family surname was usually spelled Jondall.
