Injury Proves Fatal to I. A Iverson - Died Sunday Morning

I. A. Iverson, who has made his home with his brother, Oliver Iverson, south of town, for the past three years, suffered fatal injuries Saturday morning when in some way or other he fell from a stairway leading to the cellar, and died on Sunday morning at 2 o'clock from Cerebral Hemorrhage, a direct result from injuries he received in his head when he fell.Mr. Iverson has suffered a number of years from epilepsy and while in this state wandered to the basement. In coming up the stairs, it is thought that he fell backwards and lit on the cement floor below. Mr. Iverson was 54 years of age at the time of his death.
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon from Bergen church.

Obituary
I. A. Iverson was born in Clinton County, Iowa, in 1866 and died Sunday morning, August 15, being 54 years of age at the time of his death. When six months old he came with his father and mother to Story County and settled on the Iverson homestead, south of town, at which place the accident that caused his death occurred. As a young man he worked on a farm and later entered the merchandise business operating stores at Rolfe, Graettinger and Eagle Grove. He established the Iverson Grocery here and conducted same until about three years ago when he retired.
On October 3, 1889 he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Alvestad who now survives him. He also leaves to mourn his death four children, Mrs. J. E Britson, Clarence Iverson, Abbie and Floyd Iverson, one sister, Mrs. Carrie Sandvold and one brother, Oliver Iverson.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from Bergen church of which Mr. Iverson has been a life long member. Interment took place in the Roland Cemetery.
