Bettina (Tina) Ray, 58

Bettina S. Ray, 58, of Slater, Iowa passed away on December 8th, 2019. Tina is survived by her husband, Steven Ray, son Adam (Leah) Ray, mother Christel Lewis, sister Kerstin (Michael) Stults, their two boys - Tanner and Dalton, sister-in-law Patty (Mike) Barker and their 3 sons - Josh, Andy & Christopher, brother-in-law Denny (Bonnie) Ray and their two children - Jeff and Jennifer Erickson and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Paul Lewis.

Tina graduated from South East Polk High School in 1979 and then received a degree at DMACC. After school, she worked at Northwestern Bell, AT&T, and then she finished her career at Pioneer and retired in 2018.

Tina loved to travel, some of the places they went to were Cancun, Vegas, Florida and Europe. She also like to jump in the convertible with Steve and take day trips anywhere in the state. She enjoyed reading, painting, spending time with family and friends, she loved to dance like no one was watching and she honestly didn’t care what people thought of her dancing. She enjoyed working in the garden and sitting by the fire pit in the backyard.

A memorial service will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 15th at the Iles Grandview Park Chapel funeral home, 3211 Hubbell Avenue, Des Moines, IA.
