Oliver Hill Died Early Today at Farm Home

Special to the Journal:
Cambridge, May 24--Oliver Hill, 90, for over sixty-four years a resident on the same farm near here, died at 6:30 a. m. today following a stroke a few days before.

Funeral services for this venerable pioneer will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 at the Lutheran church here with his pastor Rev. Jacobson in charge. The church service will be preceded by a prayer at the home at 1:30. Burial will be in the Cambridge cemetery by the side of the wife who died in 1924 and one daughter who had also preceded him in death.

Born in Norway, Europe, he came to America with his people when but six months old.

He leaves to mourn, two sons Albert of Cambridge, and John of Tulsa, Okla., one daughter, Mattie who has kept the home for her father, and five grandsons, Leslie, Homer and Wendell of Cambridge and Wayne and John of Shenandoah, one granddaughter Sarah of Cambridge.

He has resided on the farm where he died for 64 years. he has been a life long member of the Lutheran church and was the oldest member of the Cambridge Lutheran church. He had served as Sunday School Superintendent for years, resigning about four years ago but had continued teaching a Sunday School class.
