Georgia M. Kruse, age 87, of Ames, Iowa, died at Bickford of Ames on Friday, November 8, 2019. Per her request, Georgia has been cremated and no service will be held at this time. Burial will be in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Born February 11, 1932, in Monona, Iowa, Georgia M. Kruse was the daughter of George A. and Ruth (Henderson) Smith. She grew up on the farm in northeast Iowa, and later graduated from Luana High School.

Georgia was united in marriage to Norman Dean Kruse in Luana, Iowa. In the mid 1960's, she and Norman made their home in Huxley. Georgia worked as head cook at the Knapp-Storm dormitory for nearly twenty years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman; an infant daughter, Connie Jo; her parents; and a sister, Mary.

Survivors include a son, Kim Kruse, of Ames; two grandchildren, Nicole Rittgers and Brandon Rittgers; and two great-grandchildren, Cory Rittgers and Layla Rittgers.

Ames Monument & Cremation Center has been entrusted with the care of Georgia and her family.
