Patricia Ann Schwieger, 71 of Ames passed away at Accura Health on Wednesday, November 6th 2019. Patricia was born December 23rd, 1947 in Wichita, KS to the late Ora and Harriett (Allen) Stilwell. She was a graduate of Wichita High school. On February 7th, 1965 she married Edward Schwieger in Wichita KS, they were married for 53 years.

Pat worked as a nurse’s aide for several years in Ames before she worked for Iowa State University as a custodian on campus and later worked in the Knapp/Storms dormitory for over 20 years. She treated the college kids just like her own. Family and friends were always very important to her. She always had a kind word for anyone she met. She was a friend to everyone and always willing to help anyone out. Her grandkids and great grandkids were her pride and Joy.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ed, her parents, two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her children Joe (Lisa) Schwieger of North liberty and Tammy (Rob) Twiselton of Story City. Granddaughters, Brittany, Kristen, Vanessa and Abigail and two great grandsons, Zachariah and Wyatt. One brother William Stilwell of Wichita and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends may join the family in celebrating Patricia’s life on Saturday, November 16th 2019 at Stevens’ memorial chapel (607 28th St., Ames). At 10:00 am for the visitation with the memorial service at 11:00 with a luncheon following at North Grand Christian Church (930 30th St., Ames). In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to the family.

The family of Patricia Ann Schwieger expresses its appreciation to all who have been so thoughtful during this time.
