Bonita “Bonnie” Sinkler, 91 of Nevada, passed away Monday, October 7, 2019, at her home.
A visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday, November 17 at the Nevada Seventh Day Adventist Church (224 S. 6th Street) in Nevada.
Bonnie was born in Eagle Grove, on May 6, 1928, the daughter of Thomas L. and Alma (Ellingston) Anderson. She graduated from Clarion High School in 1947 and was united in marriage to Gerald Henry Sinkler on March 22, 1951, in Ames. Bonnie owned Bonnie’s Drapery for 30 years and was a member of the Nevada Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed gardening and sewing and in her early years enjoyed being a 4-H leader and Girl Scout Troop Leader. Bonnie loved all animals, especially her cat, Buddy.
Bonnie is survived by her husband Gerald of Nevada; her daughter, Susan (Bill) Ellison of Circle Pines, MN; her son, Craig (Ann) Sinkler of Everett, WA; her grandchildren: Cristy (John) Hoaglun, Jaime (Jim) Johnson, Dustin (Jana) Ellison and Lisa Ellison; her great-grandchildren: Jacob, Ben and Joseph Hoaglun, Jessica Strutz and Jack Johnson; and her sister, Karen (Gary) Hobbie of Clarion. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and three sisters.
Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
